Brushes, Brushes and more Brushes!

I am the queen of makeup brushes, I absolutely love them! I highly believe that its the quality of a product and not the price. Everyone always raves about MAC brushes, don't get me wrong they are amazing brushes but for someone who is on a budget the price isn't so great. I stumbled across this company called 'Sigma' over 2 years ago and wanted to try out the brushes. The brushes are amazing. The price is right and the quality is to die for. Great for Makeup Artist and for those who are just starting out with makeup.
This is the the Essential kit-Make me crazy set. they have this in 3 other colors that i know that all of you will love. they have so many to chose from, if you just wanted to start out with eye brushes or face brushes.
It comes with the brush holder where you can sit your brushes in on your vanity and you can travel with this.
this set is $109.00 it has every brush that you need to do a full face with. if you were to buy all these brushes from MAC the cost will be $322.00. Yeah I know, that's outrageous! Here is a link if you all anted to check the brushes out or purchase. Till next time beauties!

Favorite Foundations!

I get so  many questions and compliments on what foundation do i use. i had to go through trial and error for me to find the perfect foundation that worked for me. Here are a few foundations that are my holy grail foundations.
MAC Studio Fix Powder foundation

Nars Sheer Matte, Revlon Colorstay and MAC MatchMaster
  1. Nars Sheer Matte- This foundation is a very light weight and has a sheer to buildable coverage and matte finish. This foundation is pretty expensive, retails for $42 at Sephora. My shade is Dark1 New Guinea.
  2. Revlon Colorstay- this foundation n my opinion is not heavy on the skin at all. It has a medium to full coverage with SPF 6 protection and matte finish. Retails for $9-$12 in and Drug Store. my shade is Cappuccino.
  3. MAC MatchMaster- Has a medium buildable coverage, SPF 15 and semi-matte finish. Retails for $33 at and MAC location. My shade is 8.5.
  4. MAC Studio Fix- This is a powder foundation and a full coverage with a matte finish. In my opinion great for everyday wear. Retails for $27 at and MAC location. My shade is NW45.
If you have any further detailed questions or want a more in depth review on each foundation beauties don't be afraid to ask.

My mother and her mother were raving on how beautiful she looked and that I did an exquisite job. Be safe Shannon but have tons of fun, this will be a night that you can never get back.

EYEBROW TUTORIAL

I get so many questions and compliments on my eyebrows. In my opinion eyebrows are the most important part of makeup application, without great eyebrows a flawless application of foundation is pointless. This is step by step on how I fill in my eyebrows, enjoy beauties!

Products
1. Wet and Wild eyebrow powder
2. M.A.C. studio finish concealer in shade NW45
3. M.A.C. Pro Longwear concealer in shade NW40
4. M.A.C eyebrow pencil in the shade Stud or Spiked
5. Maybelline Great lash mascara in clear
6. Studio Tools eyeliner brush
7. Sonia kashuk concealer brush
8. Sonia Kashuk Spoolie
Start with bare brow

Use spoolie to brush brows in place

Use brow pencil to outline brow on top and bottom and shade in the tail of the brow

Use angled brush to shade the rest of the brow in the product that already on the brow

This is what you should have
Take spoolie and brush the brows forward to achieve a faded effect
Use studio finish concealer at the top of the brow to sculpt it out
Now use the Pro Longwear concealer at bottom to sculpt. (I use a concealer that is 1 to 2 shades lighter than my skin one at the bottom to give the brow a highlighted affect.)

I use a beauty blender sponge to blend out the concealer
Use Maybelline clear mascara to set the brow so that it can stay in place all day and then I set it with brow powder (middle shade in the Wet and Wild Brow palette)
Finished brow!

Welcome to my new found love!

Hey beauties! My name is Shalena better known as Shae. I'm a 25 year old Elementary Education major. I was born and raised in Miami, Fl. I've Always wanted to be a teacher since I can remember. That was my only passion until about 3 1/2 years ago when I somehow ran into makeup. I love every aspect of it. The way it can transform you and make a woman feel beautiful. My inspiration for creating this blog is my passion for beauty and also the love of my life who I lost this past March 2012. He was the person that believed in me and knew I could do anything if I just gave it my all. I miss him dearly but he will always be with me because now he is my Guardian Angel. I will do reviews, tutorials anything that I can think that will be beneficial and interesting for all of you. Thank you for visiting and I hope you stick around. :)
